We are happy to present this very nice, mostly stock, 1951 Chevy Deluxe 2 door hardtop. The paint is now a metallic finish instead of the factory colors, but it looks great. The interior is very nicely done. We aren't sure how long ago it was done, but it still looks very good. The original vin tag is intact. The original dash still looks good. The radio does not work. The headliner is very nice. It is done in a soft suede like material and was definitely a professional job.
The trunk is original and in excellent condition. We have found no rust on this car. Under the hood is what is believed to be the original Inline Blue Flame Six 235 cu in 6 cylinder. Rated at 150 hp the engine was also know as the Stovebolt, and had 8.0:1 compression, featuring a high-lift, long-duration camshaft with solid lifters. It was Chevy's only engine back in the early 50s, and even powered the first Corvettes in 1953. The system is now 12V instead of 6, and there is a shut of valve to shut the heater off.
Other than some road grime, the undercarriage looks very solid. We did not find any rust. This great old classic Chevy is going to make someone a fun car.
