This is a locally owned car and has been here in Texas for more than 25+ years. It was actually a Dallas built car. It could very well have spent it's entire life here. The 56 has a real old school look with it's lake pipes, spot lights, Continental kit, and fender skirts. This is a driver. The current owner has several classics. He drives them all. None of them are trailer queens and he maintains them mechanically so they are reliable runners. The interior is in good condition. It has some flaws, but nothing serious. The doors could use some new seals, and there is some wear on the piping around the seat on the drivers side. It is a true black car and is a real Club Sedan.
The dash is all original. There have been 2 new gauges added under dash, oil pressure and temperature. The under dash a/c is blowing cold. Under the doors looks very solid. There is a tiny bit of surface rust, but nothing to be concerned about. The 292 V-8 runs well. We have seen literally no leaks under the car. The undercarriage is actually in good condition. You will see in the following photos that the frame rails and supports are solid with no rust. In general it looks good. It appears the floor pans were replaced at some point.
The only real flaw is the rocker panels and door bottoms. You can see a lot of bubbles in the paint and some cracking in what appears to be Bondo. The chrome and stainless are in good condition except for this one little area on the rear stainless piece.
