This beautiful 62 was purchased from Texas Classic Cars of Dallas in 2013 by a local gentleman from Dallas. At the time it was sold, it had recently been treated to a full restoration. We know the last 3 owners are all from the Dallas area. In 2012 the car won best in it's class at the Dallas Autorama, World of Wheels.

The car has a 327/340hp with the block casting number of 378870. This code shows to be an original fuel injected engine. It is not a numbers matching block. The compression was lowered (different pistons) in order to run todays unleaded high test gasoline. Also, hydraulic cam lifters were installed which makes the car better for driving on the street.

The air cleaner, carburetor, intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor, generator, heads and other items are all correct.

There is a 4 speed Borg Warner T10 transmission rebuilt by Kajun Enterprises. The clutch was rebuilt with a throw out bearing.

The rear end was rebuilt with new posi-traction discs ( ratio 3:70-1 )

Just about everything on the car was gone over. Even the Wonderbar radio was rebuilt. It has a new top by Al Knoch of El Paso along with a new padded dash. The interior was also redone with all original Al Knoch seats, carpet and door panels.

The current owner has maintained the car well and had new tires installed about 7 years ago but they only have about 100 miles on them. He also purchased a smaller leather covered steering wheel, also by Al Knoch, because he has vey long legs and needed the extra room. The original wheel is in the trunk.

The current owner has driven the car just a few times a month and has thoroughly enjoyed it. Now the kids are getting to college age, and it's time to send the car to it's next caretaker.

The car was just recently treated to a complete detail and a tune up. It's running great.

The only flaws we found are some bubbles in the clear starting to appear on the front nose above the grill on each side. The other thing is the speedometer does not work and hasn't since the car was sold in 2013.

There is a great deal more to tell about the car, so just give Maris a call at 214-616-2317 with questions. I will also assist with shipping and financing if you would like.
