We are very proud to present this numbers matching, 1965 Chevrolet Corvette 396/425hp convertible. This car went across the block in 2012 at Mecum Anaheim,  after its on frame restoration, and did not sell at a high bid of $80,000.  It did sell the following year in Champaign ,Ill. for $88,000. The car was raffled off in New York state in 2013 and won by a gentleman from Dallas, TX. We sold the car for him in 2014 to it's current owner also from Texas.

The manual convertible soft top is in excellent condition.  The interior is also in excellent condition. There are no cracks in the  seats. The door panels are in very good condition.  The dash is like new.  This is an older frame on restoration, and is showing just some slight wear on the dash. Nothing that can't be touched up.   You can see there is no sign of rust in the door area and A pillars are very solid and rust free.

The original radio works as does the power antenna.  The original clock is actually working and keeping good time.  The 4 speed transmission shifts well.   The odometer shows 10,861, but we don't know the true mileage.   The original vin tag and trim tag are in place and show that everything is correct on the car.  You can clearly see the block is stamped with the partial vin and codes out to be the 396/425hp block.

There is the trap door to get to the battery.  The K66 transistorized ignition is in place as it should be. These are often missing on these cars.  This item was required by GM with the purchase of this L78 engine.

The original exhaust system finally gave in to age and was just replaced with the GM correct system for this car.

This was just done within the last 2 weeks.  Included with the the 396/425 engine package, were heavier front coil springs, larger stabilizers and better rear suspension.

Functional finned louvers were added.  The blacked out grill was new to these cars.   The Kelsey Hayes Knock off wheels are wrapped in B.F. Goodrich Silvertown tires, 7.75-15 4 ply front and back.   These cars are becoming extremely collectible. This is your opportunity to own one of the only 1275, Goldwood Yellow,  Corvette big blocks built in 1965.
