We are very proud to present this original 1967 Chevy Camaro RS/SS matching numbers car. The current owner of this great Camaro actually was able to contact the original owner of the car. That owner actually came to Texas to look at the car and verify that it was his. The car was painted once to it's original Tahoe Turquoise and a new vinyl top was installed. The interior is original. There is a small crack in the dash but in general the interior is in really good condition. It looks like the lower door carpet pieces may have been replaced at some time , but the carpet seems to be original.
According to the first owner and current owner, this car is unrestored. It certainly looks like it to us. The mileage is believed to be original. There were few gauges on the 67, but everything is working. When the original owner visited the current owner of the Camaro, he knew immediately that it was his car. He had added the rear side speakers and accidentally slipped and cut the the vinyl on this panel. He said "there is no doubt this is my car".
We detailed the engine compartment just a bit. It was in extremely good condition. You will see the engine block numbers verify the numbers matching engine. The current owner has had the car for 8 years and has never had the engine rebuilt. He is not sure if the previous owner ever had anything done to it. It runs great and does not overheat.
The undercarriage is also in great condition. Our seller has done nothing to the car. It was in this condition when he purchased it from what was believed to be the 2nd owner.
The original transverse type muffler is in place. Correct transmission casting number. The vinyl top was replaced when the paint was done. We did notice that whoever did the job, put a thin layer of padding under the vinyl. Below is the original dealer invoice. We noticed that there was no VIN# on this sheet. It was in the glove box when the current owner purchased the car. That is why he tried to find the original owner. Original Protect-O-Plate. Our seller did find Jerry and he did verify it was his car. One flaw in the paint that we found is this chip in the very front just behind the bumper. This is a very nice 67 Camaro. It's the real thing for someone wanting an original car and not a resto-mod.
