This car was formerly owned & restored under the watchful eye of legendary Golfer, Mr. Lee Trevino. The car was built for his wife to drive, in the color combination and model she drove in college. We have a signed photo of Mr. Trevino with the car. This Mustang was recently inspected and several repairs made including a full brake restoration, fuel pump replacement, tune-up, carburetor rebuild, and shock replacement with verifying receipts. The tires were also replaced all around. Over $6,000 was spent on the recent (2016) work. This is a great-looking car and is a pleasure to drive.
The dark blue metallic base/clearcoat finish shows well throughout. The doors align correctly as does the hood & trunk lid. There are two minor "dings" photographed above, and a very small scratch on the fron driver's side fender. Open the doors to 1969. The interior was restored in this attractive shade of gold. The vinyl is in excellent condition front to back as is the dash and door panels. The car was originally Jade black with black interior. The convertible top is in excellent condition, as is the two-piece rear glass.
The correct steering wheel and instrumentation is in place. The AM/FM stereo is a later one with the Mustang logo. The kick panels are quite scratched, but the rest of the interior is very nice. Under the hood is the previously rebuilt & correct 302 2bbl. V8. Equipment includes updated air conditioning (134a) along with power steering & power brakes. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support is also in good shape.
The trunk is complete with the spare tire/wheel & jacking equipment along with the correct mat. The trunk pan is solid. Mr. Lee Trevino signed the trunk lid, a Hall of Famer. We sold this car for Mr. Trevino at our old dealership, to the current owner. We also have a copy of the autographed picture given to the current owner of the car.
The undercarriage further reiterates the restoration work done top to bottom of this Mustang. The door undersides are solid left & right.
