1969 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible

FEATURES INCLUDE:

221ci Flathead V-8

We are very happy to present this very nice 69 VW. The current owner purchased the car from a gentleman who happens to be an auto mechanic from Germany who owns a foreign auto repair shop in Tyler, Texas. He restored the car and brought it to it's current condition.   The features of the 69 VW are pretty basic. They all had the 4 speed manual transmission, drum brakes, heat but no A/C, and a very simple dash with just the speedometer with the odometer and fuel gauge.

The interior is in excellent condition. The seats have been redone as well as carpet and door panels.    The vin number is on the transmission tunnel as it should be. There is a 1 in front of the 5.    The doors are solid underneath. There are no signs of rust on the body at all.    The battery has just been replaced. It is less than 1 month old.    The engine decodes to be a 1971-73 1300cc dual port. The engine runs great.    The undercarriage is in good condition. It has not been completely restored, but is still very solid.

There is a small area of the floor pan on the driver's side that has been replaced. It was done from inside, and appears to be riveted to the main floor. There is silicon seam seal around the edges.

The paint is exceptional throughout and all of the window seals are new.   The boot is brand new and has actually not been installed. It includes all of the snaps and installation instructions.    This is a really nice example of the 69 VW convertible. This car will win awards at any show, and can also be a daily driver.
