We are presenting this awesome dune buggy for the 2nd time. Sold a few months ago, the buyer now has to part with this great vehicle. He has put only a few miles on it and has enjoyed it for a short time. The dune buggy is at his house in New Jersey.    The photos were taking at the end of 2020, and we are using them again. The owner has sent me photos and the buggy looks like it did when it left us.

The buggy was built to honor fire fighters. It's name is "FireBug".    This is a really well built dune buggy. It was built with a body that is very close to the Myers Manx body. It was built in 2003 and has been kept in excellent condition. You will see in the video that it runs great and sounds even better.    The bar on top of the roll bar was fashioned after a firefighting crash truck.    You will notice the little subtle items throughout the buggy that represent the fire fighters.

The engine in this dune buggy is awesome. As we mentioned before, the original 1500cc engine was built to 1641cc. New parts on the engine include:
Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs
Belts
Oil Screen
Lifters
3.5 Super Sumps
Cam Gears
Rods
Heads
Pistons

Here in Texas, there is a large group of enthusiasts who actually race these great custom built dune buggies. The engine in this one is built so well it could easily hit the track.    One of the unique features on the car is an illuminating gas pedal when the lights are on.
