This is an extremely nice Super Beetle. Restored from 2009 to 2010, it did not look at all like this when the owner's wife purchased it as a birthday gift for him. You will see before photos at the end of our ad. Beginning with body work, the car was stripped to bare metal and the only thing that really needed to be replaced was the rear fenders.
The owner chose the color combination of Hugger Orange and Ivory. The paint work was done locally and they did a very nice job. The owner obtained the services of a local upholsterer. Larry, owner of Village Upholstery, who did a fantastic job on the interior. The owner also installed sound deafening mat under all the carpet.
The custom dash has just the Speedometer and odometer and gas gauge. There is also the radio and the panel of light switches. The custom dash was purchased from Glass Action, LLC, in Arizona.
There is a storage shelf below the dash and a direct hook up for your IPod. This vintage picnic case is included. The weather seals have been replaced throughout the car. The chrome pieces are all new. The 1500cc engine is running well and was treated to a complete detail and tune up during restoration. The owner also replaced hoses from fan shroud to heater box, the oil filler cap, and replaced the factory air cleaner box with a modern air cleaner with paper filter.
The owner also trailered the car to Pantego , TX to The Bug Stop and had them remove the engine, clean it up and repair the brakes and also replace the sending unit in the fuel tank. When removing the interior seats and carpeting, the owner found the pan where the battery was was pretty rusted. He purchased a replacement pan from "The Bug Stop" and cut the old one out and dropped the new one in.
Here are a few pictures before restoration. The windshield was replaced. This is your opportunity to own a really unique little VW Super Beetle. This is a turn key little car that you can just drive away and take to any car show and you will be sure to take a prize.
