We are presenting this Scout for its owner. As far as he knows, he is the 3rd owner. The truck has been a Texas vehicle all of its life.
The truck does not have its original engine. There has been a 392 cu in International Harvester engine installed. The engine was rebuilt approximately 50,000 miles ago. The work was done at the time by an International mechanic. This Scout will definitely get up and go.

Additional work done to the Scout includes:
Transmission Rebuilt in 2017
Carburetor Rebuilt in 2017
New Radiator in 2019
Painted Matte Vintage Land Rover Blue (with matte black trim) in 2019

The front seats are not original and can be easily changed out to the new owners taste.

The Scout is a very solid, great truck with good bones and can be taken to the next level by a new owner with more time to spend on it. The current owner did not want to part with it, but an 11 month old and a job that takes up a great deal of his time, he just couldn't get to it. This was his daily driver until the baby came along.

There appears to be very little rust, which is unusual in these old Scouts. All I could see was a little surface rust under the mat by the driver's seat. From underneath it looks solid. The body does have a few hail dents and a few scratches, but overall, this is a great truck that just needs a really good cleaning.

This vehicle checks all the boxes for the guy looking for a convertible truck, with a big engine, lifted, and with big mud tires and rims.

It wouldn't take much to have a really nice, extremely popular 4WD that would look as good as some of the $60,000. Scouts on the market, of which there are few.
