We are presenting this very nice 1987 Land Rover. Recently imported from the UK, it will be sold with a clear Texas title.   Originally registered in the Netherlands, the Defender was then bought and brought to England. It arrived in the UK in 2020 and was sent to a Land Rover specialist to be refurbed. It was there that they transformed the original hard top Land Rover into a Heritage Edition soft top.   All of the mechanicals were gone over and repaired or replaced as needed. This vehicle runs great. It was not a frame off restoration, so it is not cosmetically perfect, but it is a sold reliable SUV.

Land Rover stopped production in 2015. There were only 400 Heritage Editions built. This car is a recreation of one of those.    Having covered 177,000 Km or 110,000 miles and being garage kept by the previous owner, the vehicle was in remarkable condition when it arrived in the UK in 2020.   The interior is simple but functional. The binnacle mount was replaced with the upgraded Raptor Engineering mount in metal instead of the original plastic one which are often cracked and broken.   The Defender originally had a kilometer speedometer, so during the partial restoration, a MPH speedometer was installed and these are the miles recorded since then.

The picture below shows the controls for the Webasto gas heater. This is a functional heater. The vehicle does have a regular heater as well.    The seats are all new.    This entire rear area was painted with Raptor Engineering bed liner paint for added protection.

The Land Rover Defender was not built for beauty. These are solid rugged vehicles geared to drive over any terrain and not to cruise 75 down the freeway. Take it to the mountains of Colorado or to your dear lease in Texas. Pull up information and videos of African Safaris and you will see the Land Rover is the main vehicle of choice.

The 2.5L diesel engine was serviced and checked out along with al other mechanical aspects of the car.    The undercarriage is solid and we saw no rust.    The Hue166 badge was put on all 400 Defender Heritage editions to pay tribute to the first prototypes number plate.    This is your opportunity to own the iconic Land Rover Defender 90.
