We don't normally get into the personal side of the cars we sell. This is an exception to that rule.    We want you to meet "Rusty". Rusty belonged to a dear friend of the owners of Garrett Classics as well as all of our car friends. Our friend was only the second owner of this great 89 Mercury.    The original owner was from Maine and the car was taken care of extremely well. The Auto Check report does not show any mileage, but it was sold to our friend by that original owner and he said the miles were actual. Looking at the condition of this unrestored car, we have no reason to believe that is not correct.

You can see the oil was just changed in July.    The interior in this car is amazing. It is completely original and shows almost no wear on the seats. There is a little discoloration on the top of the dash, but no cracks. The gauge cluster is like new.    Also amazing for a car 31 years old, is that everything works. The A/C blows cold, the radio and clock both work, all power windows are working, as well as the cruise control and all gauges.   Our friend was a true lover of our country and he was a president Trump supporter. The medallions on the dash show that for sure.

This wagon does not have the 3rd seat in the rear. There is storage.   The paint, being original has some thin spots, and several amateur touch ups.    This is the only rust spot on the car. It is on the lower rocker area on the front driver's side. It could easily be repaired and it does not appear to have spread to any other areas of the car.
