This 1-owner car purchased new at Bob Utter Ford, in Sherman , TX ,is owned by one of our clients and is in superb condition, never raced or abused. It has an incredible 4-Cam 5.4 Liter V8 paired with a 6-Speed Manual Transmission. The car rides on fully built suspension. There are just over 15,000 miles on the car, maybe 3,000 miles on the drive train build. This is an incredible car that makes a lot of power. It is setup to be docile to drive on the street. The Cobra R type front airdam was added to improve airflow. This car has never been in any kind of accident. The paint and body are in excellent condition.
The wheels are 18-inch Cobra R, the suspension features a tubular front K-member along with Koni dual adjustable shocks & Eibach springs along with the COBRA specific upgrades. The brakes are the stock COBRA 4 wheel disc. The exhaust system consists of American Racing Long Tube headers, a Bassani Cat Back and American Racing X-Pipe. The stock interior is reflective of the low original mileage of 15,851.
The drivetrain is incredible. This engine began life as a 5.4 Liter DOHC in a Lincoln Navigator. It was removed and completely rebuilt, performance-style with special ported cylinder heads, upgraded fuel delivery, exhaust, and supporting components. SEE SPECS. Several modifications were done to see that this engine fit properly, it was not just a "drop-in" over the stock 4.6 DOHC Cobra V8. This combination is conservatively tuned to 440 rear wheel horsepower on 93 octane pump gas. It has a special ground cam just for this combination. I also want to mention that the fuel system is also overbuilt with 60 lb. injectors. The owner was contemplating an E85 tune, although its always ran pump gasoline at this point. The DYNO tune was done, again, very conservatively. There is a lot more power to this particular combination.
The battery is rear-mounted in a Strong Box. The undercarriage is in excellent condition. Again, a host of modifications and upgrades have been done. The original MACH 460 AM/FM CD cassette stereo is still in place and sounds great. All of the power functions are working as well.
