This very nice 82 Corvette was originally purchased in Frankston, Texas. It spent the first 16 years in Texas and then went to Oklahoma and Arkansas until returning to Texas with it's current owner in 2008.   The current owner actually went to Frankston to find the Chevy dealer, Bacon Chevrolet,  which is still in business. Believe it or not the salesman who sold the car was still there. He remembered the car because of it's rare color. There were only 567 Corvettes painted this one year color option. He said he sold only 2 Corvettes that year. This one and a red one.

Considering the mileage on the car, it appears that the interior may have been redone at some point. It is in very nice condition.   The original leather wrapped steering wheel has been upgraded to this wood grain wheel. There is also a wood grain console and dash.   The odometer is showing 21,814, but we are assuming it's 121,814 since the mileage in 1998 was 79,979.   This is a Bowling Green built car shown by the extra letter after the build month. A would be 1st week of the month, B is the second and so forth. It was built in the second week in March. Bowling Green cars show the leather interior trim code such as number 221.  If it was not a Bowling Green car it would show 222 for dark blue.

The car is running very well. The current owner just had the entire electrical system gone through. He also had a new fuel pump, injectors, relays, etc. changed. The entire a/c system was checked out and the compressor was replaced. The a/c is working very well. All of the power options are working on the car.    The undercarriage shows some surface rust, but is in good condition for the age of the car. This has always been a southern car.   The paint is in excellent condition.
