This is an old school hot rod owned by the same gentleman for 33 years. It has some paint issues, and could definitely use an upgrade, but it's a 51 Merc! What a great "Lead Sled" this would make. Or, bring it back to original. It is a very solid car.  The paint job on this 51 was based on a 51 that was on the cover of Car Craft magazine in the late 50's.  The interior was done many years ago, but is still in good condition.

The dash panel is original and will need to be restored if that is what you are looking for. It is functional, but auxiliary gauges have been added.  The Mercury under dash a/c works, it could use a charge. It will have to be changed over to 134A.

The engine runs well. It had a complete tune up less than 200 miles ago.  The fuse panel has been put in the glove box for easy access. This is an all new wiring harness. The push button is the trunk release.  You will see a cloudy area around the gas fill. The paint has clouded from gas.  The undercarriage is very solid and appears rust free.  The All Season radial tires are only about 2 months old.
