We are extremely proud to present one of the nicest 1957 "Baby Birds" we have had the pleasure to sell in our 12 years in business.   The owner commissioned Mr. Bob Pittman of Bob Pittman Classic Cars to find him a 1957 Bird that was accident free and rust free. Such a car was found in California.

Our seller gave Mr. Pittman specific instructions as to how he wanted the Thunderbird restored. Foremost on his list was to strip the car completely to bare metal. He wanted a show quality car done to his specifications. He requested red with tan interior.  Here is the list given to Mr. Pittman. You will see by the photos, that Mr. Pittman followed this list without a doubt.

It is obvious that Mr. Pittman delivered exactly what the owner wanted. We looked for flaws in this car when we photographed it and found nothing that jumped out at us.   The paint job on the 57 is excellent. This is definitely show quality. All metal parts on the car were plated with copper then nickel and then chromed.  The owner spent a great deal to have his dream car completed. It certainly shows in the end result.

On October 18, 2015 the owner took the Thunderbird to its first show, the Westlake Classic Car Show in Westlake , TX. He took first place in his class of 1950 -1959 vehicles.

Every piece on this vehicle was either redone or replaced with NOS parts.  All  new weather stripping was installed throughout the car.   The auxiliary hard top is like new inside and out.  Step into the car and you will be impressed with the real leather interior and a dash that looks brand new.   Everything in this car works. All gauges were rebuilt or replaced, the radio works, heater, power windows, power seat and even the clock.

There have been only 1360 miles put on this beautiful car since 2014.   No detail was overlooked. Every stamping and label was installed in the correct location as on the original car.  Every part of this car was done to show standards right down to the under dash area.   The trunk was finished to original standards.

During restoration the 312 cu in engine was rebuilt to current standards so it can run on today's gasoline. A dress up kit was also installed including polished aluminum valve covers and chrome air breather.  Above is the new high efficiency four row radiator that was installed along with a 160 degree thermostat.

We may have gotten a bit carried away with the undercarriage shots, but we are so impressed with the restoration we shot many close ups trying to find something wrong, and we couldn't.

The differential was rebuilt with all new parts.   The entire frame and all suspension parts were powder coated.   There is literally nothing that was not redone on this beautiful car. Everything from top to bottom was done to top standards.
