Garrett Classics is proud to showcase this very attractive & unique 1960 Pontiac Catalina . This car is an exceptional runner & a pleasure to drive. It has been restored and refinished in Coronado red metallic with correct vinyl upholstery front to back. The 1960 Pontiac Catalina showcased several design features such as horizontal grille bars & a stylish redesigned decklid with subtle twin tail lamps. An Arlington, Texas built car, the car was purchased by a lady from Fort Worth from Bill McDavid Pontiac in Ft. Worth. A gentleman from Burleson, TX who worked on the assembly line in the factory knew her and told her if she ever decided to sell it, to please let him know. She did, and he enjoyed the car for some years, and then sold it in 2006 to the current owner here in the Dallas area.
The paint and body are in very good condition, although there are a number of chips along both door edges, photographed below. The Coronado Red Metallic finish is an attractive & unique color of the time & today. Check out the rare Kelsey-Hayes 8-Lug Aluminum wheels. The interior is clean and in good condition, from the door panels, headliner, carpeting, and seat upholstery. This is an air conditioning car. The dash retains the factory gauge cluster along with 4 underdash auxiliary gauges to monitor the water temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and engine vacuum. Under the hood is the good running 389 Pontiac V8. This is a well-equipped Catalina with power brakes, power steering, and factory air conditioning. To our knowledge, the engine has not been rebuilt, but well maintained. You will notice the paint and trim codes are not the color the car is now. More than likely the second owner restored the car to this Pontiac color. The undercarriage appears to be exceptionally solid throughout. This car has been kept in dry climate conditions and it really shows. The trunk is solid. The spare tire & wheel are in place.
